Implications of Bangladesh’s Graduation from Least Developed Countries Status on Japanese Companies

In 2026, Bangladesh is expected to graduate from the Least Developed Countries status, which reviewed by Committee for Development Policy of United Nations. While graduation has some advantages, such as improvement country’s external image, it also disadvantages, inability use special preferential measures that are granted countries with status international community. This study discusses implications and impacts changes in business environment on Japanese companies through a questionnaire-based survey.
